The undergraduate Commencement ceremony is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. in Stegeman Coliseum, and tickets are required. The graduate ceremony does not require tickets and will follow at 2:30 p.m.
Regent Kessel D. Stelling Jr., chairman and CEO of Synovus Financial Corporation and a member of the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, will deliver the fall undergraduate Commencement address.
Taylor Maggiore, who will receive a bachelor’s degree in journalism with a certificate in sports media, is the student speaker for the undergraduate ceremony.
Of the 1,263 graduate students eligible to walk at the 2:30 p.m. ceremony, 327 are doctoral candidates and 936 are receiving their master’s or specialist degrees.
Libby V. Morris, Zell B. Miller Distinguished Professor of Higher Education and director of UGA’s Institute of Higher Education, will deliver the address at the graduate ceremony.
Congratulations to all of our graduates and welcome to the many family members and friends on campus to celebrate this extraordinary accomplishment in the life of their graduate. Well done!
