Liminal is an exhibition in two parts by the Lamar Dodd School of Art graduating class of Spring 2024. The openings are on April 5th and 19th. This show will feature the art of 40 students to mark the final milestone in their studio art studies at the University of Georgia.
Liminal was selected by students as a meaningful title to represent their body of work. According to Oxford Dictionaries, the word signifies one’s occupation at or on both sides of a boundary or threshold. The threshold occupied by the graduating students of the Lamar Dodd School of Art is one between formal education and freedom, rules and liberty, guidance and independence.
