April 3, 1968: After delivering his iconic “I’ve Been to the Mountaintop” speech, Dr. Martin Luther King settles in for the evening at the Lorraine Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee. When a mysterious maid arrives at his door with surprising news, King is compelled to face his legacy in unexpected ways.
