
This season’s Faculty Artist Series begins with Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor of Horn Dr. Jean Martin-Williams, who is also an Associate Dean in the Franklin College of Arts and Sciences. The concert is set for 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 13th in Ramsey Hall.
Collaborating with Dr. Martin-Williams will be faculty pianist Damon Denton and new horn faculty member James Naigus. The program includes one original piece by Dr. Naigus entitled "Journey's Call." Also included on the program will be pieces by Nyquist, Mourey, and the evening will end with “Songs of Travel” by Robert Louis Stevenson, which is set to music by the British composer Vaughn-Williams.
Tickets for the concert are $12 for adults and $6 for students and children. They can be purchased online by clicking the link on this event page or by calling 706-542-4400 or in person before the event.
