The 33rd annual Education Abroad Fair will feature nearly 100 exhibitors showcasing programs led by UGA faculty or at UGA international residential centers, as well as programs run through international partner universities and other providers. Dedicated sessions allow students to get an overview of study abroad opportunities at UGA, and a dedicated group of students who have already studied abroad — known as education abroad peer advisers — will also be on hand to answer students’ questions.
Education abroad is a general term covering experiential learning experiences such as traditional study abroad, plus interning, working, volunteering, and conducting research abroad. During the 2016-17 academic year, approximately 2,600 UGA students studied abroad, traveling to more than 60 countries.
A free photo booth will allow students to picture themselves studying abroad, and some special UGA guests will attend the fair to interact with students. The fair is open free to the public, and parents of students are welcome to attend.
