Jeannine Falino is an independent curator and museum consultant. She has curated exhibitions, lectured, presented workshops and written extensively on American decorative arts from the colonial era to the present. She specializes in metalwork, jewelry, modern decorative arts, craft and design.
Previously the Carolyn and Peter Lynch Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Museum of Fine Arts, Falino has worked independently since moving to New York in 2007, where she was co-curator for the major survey exhibition "Crafting Modernism: Midcentury American Art and Design" (MAD, 2011), and curator of "What Would Mrs. Webb Do? A Founder’s Vision" (Museum of Arts and Design, 2014), an exhibition on the role of advocacy and philanthropy in American craft. Presently, she is co-curator of the exhibition "Gilded New York: Design, Fashion & Society" at the Museum of the City of New York (2013) that is on view through January 2016. Her newest exhibition, "Affichomania: The Passion for French Posters," opens at the Driehaus Museum in Chicago in June 2016.
