Stephanie started work with UGA as part of the Franklin College OIT Web Services Team in 2013.
Franklin College Responsibilities
She serves as the visionary and manager for Web Services. She is the client relationship manager for 45 Departments, Centers, and Institutes, manages contracts and billing for clients, the campus course evaluation system, and directs the use of web technologies throughout the college. She also serves as a consultant for the growing Franklin College Digital Collections Inventory.
Professional Information
She currently serves as the Treasurer for Wild Rumpus Parade & Spectacle. She is also the Treasurer for the Joint Development Authority for Athens Clarke County and the City of Winterville. She has held officer positions for many non-profit boards throughout the years in Athens.
She is a graduate of UGA's Terry College of Business in Accounting, and the UGA School of Public and International Affairs with a Master's in Public Administration. She began her career in Franklin College as the IT Senior Manager in Web Services after a long career in private industry in the role of founder and CEO of Plexus, Inc., an Athens-based web development business founded in 1997.
She is the proud recipient of a number of awards and nominations including three nominations for the Athena Award and is a two-time Bulldog 100 winner. She received the Arts in the Community Grant in 2020 from Athens Clarke County and this year she will be performing Tango for the Dancing with the Athens Stars 2022 Event. She is also one of the co-instructors for Argentine Tango at UGA.
Personal Information
She's a Tango and Salsa dancer, pottery-making enthusiast, collector of antique dishes, and enjoys traveling to far away places. She recently became a dual US-Italian citizen through her research in genealogy. She studies both French and Italian through the UGA TAP Program.
