Cody "Skip" Skipper began working for Franklin College OIT in September of 2022 as part of the Park Hall Hub. He provides technical support to faculty and staff .
CompTIA - A+ (2014), Net+ (2014) and Sec+ (2020) certified. He has received an Associates of Science in Military Instructional Technology and an Associates of Science in Aircraft Armament Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Skip is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Security and Risk Analysis at Penn State University.
Skip served in the United States Air Force from 2006-2020 as a Aircraft Armament Systems Craftsman, maintaining weapons systems, loading and unloading nuclear and nonnuclear munitions, explosives, and propellant devices on aircraft. He also served as a Field Training Instructor form 2014-2018 teaching aircraft maintenance to USAF,USMC,USN personnel and Foreign Partners in the F-35 programs intra-service training center at Eglin, AFB Florida.
Skip is an Athens area native, graduating from Madison County High School. His wife, April, is also from the area. She is a UGA Alumni with a Bachelors of Science in Avian Biology (2011) and a Masters of Plant Protection and Pest Management (2022). She works as a Lab Manager at the PDRC (Poultry Diagnostics Research Center).
